Just make sure to spell his name the way he wants it, or you'll get a timeout. Nobody said life was fair.
I think your numbers don't add up. Do we think you paid too much? There's an old gambling expression, "I'm trying to break even, I could really use the money." I think you took a gamble, but if you try to cash off, I think you'll get most of your money back.
I'm not trying get rich here. I collect Roosevelt's. Have the complete 1946-2015 set. It wouldn't be complete without this coin. The 70 is a beauty that I don't plan to sell. I will however, part with the 69. If I lose money so be it. Life is a gamble. Have a great day everyone.
You don't have to justify to anybody. You're OK, we're OK. You asked if you paid too much, and we told you. BTW, do you have all the proofs from those years? In other words, just what complete "set" are you collecting? If it's business strikes, these are special Mint strikes, not business strikes.
I'm a cherry picker. I can't go to shows because i'm disabled. There are no coin shops in my area so I buy my coins online. The Roosevelt set took a couple years to complete. Some of the proofs are exspensive. 50-P and 71-S to name a few. I'm picky so i'd say I look at 100 coins of the same date and mint before I find one that i'm pleased with. My 51-P pf sucks. Looking for another one.
The Governor of Texas is disabled. If he can govern Texas, you can collect this set. Really, this set is a big challenge. Good luck.
That's a good attitude to have SPENSER. I know you're happy with that 70. How much difference is there on the 69 vs the 70. Can you see any frost breaks, that's usually what makes the difference.
You are good chief!! There is a small spot above Roosevelts head that can only be seen with a loupe and very strong lighting. I paid $69 for it and will sell it for the same price.
Just saw someone list 5 sets on eBay at a BIN of $90. Went and checked completed auctions, and saw that at least one has gone for less than $80. I think I'm glad I sold when I did; maybe I'll buy one back if they come down further.
Thank you fast eddy and chief .bullsit I happen to like the Roosevelts. Not so much for his portrait but for the freedom torch. Very, very hard to find with full unbroken lines.
