Latest addition 1891-CC Vam 3

    just thought that I would share my new CC with all...I'm a rookie to collecting, but learn something new everyday and appreciate all the tips that are shared on CT.

    Morgan...thanks, what would you consider the quality of the strike to be?

    Solid average. A little weakness on the reverse, on the Eagle's breast--that is why they graded it 62. Also on the talons and legs of the Eagle, a bit of softness. Otherwise, a very nice example. TPGs are tough on CC dates due to strike, as they're usually strongly struck in general. I think the coin looks more 63 to me, but probably the average strike made it a 62.
