You can't be close to a Close AM. It is or isn't. It's two different reverse dies.

Not much action in the forum it seems but lots of us are certainly still hunting!
I'm going to have to do some posting just to not regret making my annual cash contribution to CT :shame:

A few from the last 3 weeks or so...

I ordered myself a Whitman book for the 2021 and 2022 - 202? Women Series. I have a bunch of them already, but I like having the folder to put it in.

    I did 100 BWR Dimes - 1 silver time
50 in BWR Nickels - 1 silver nickel
    5 in BWR Cents - 4 Wheaties
30 in BWR quarters - nothing except some new ones for my soon to have album haha. I'm also missing some D issues of the state park quarters, so slowly working through that.

Well folks, a friend visited me while I was looking through a box of dimes. He is not a coin collector but found it fascinating that you can find silver in circulation today. I showed him how I look through rolls and we ended up finding three in the box. That was pretty good. He decided to get $100 in dimes the next time he went to the bank and got customer wrapped rolls. One roll had three silver dimes and this half dime. He didn't know they even existed! Now I have searched probably 30 boxes of dimes in my life and have never seen the like! I was quite impressed. My best roll find in dimes was a 1944 Mercury dime (and I've only ever found three). He ended up giving it to me. You never know what you will find! Beginner's luck.....:banghead:

Well, geeze, if he got shorted five cents on that roll, I hope you at least made him whole on it. ;)

Interestingly, this roll had 50 dimes plus the half dime. I can only wonder if someone was seeding this roll?

My latest box of nickels were highlighted by a low mintage 1955 (7.9 million) and 1938 (19.5 million) from Philadelphia. Honorable mention were two 2009-P finds. The early decade count were two from the thirties, six from the forties, and eleven from the fifties. There were also two from Canada.
