Ah another empire collector, we seem to be few and far between. This is my first to add to the collection too.. I've a lot of Australian and New Zealand coins but have never truly focused on them until now.

This coin is XF-aUNC the seller had some of these and UNC for sale and had mixed them up, so he refunded me and kindly allowed me to keep it
I've also just picked up the 1953 crown for 99p !



I also picked up a Guernsey 1 double 1889 which now completes my year type set for there

I picked up a parliament house florin a few months back. Easily my favorite Aussie coin.

 

Like this pence and florin. But finding 1927 Crown not easy today.

 

A 1927 George V Crown? News to me.

but I was told the Parliament member where given Crown coin , fact or fiction??????
I have only see photo of the Crown version of the 1927 anniversary was a artist drawing. One coin in a ICG holder in coin world article.

 

I can find no record of a George V Aussie crown, so I'm going to assume fiction.

 

Check Coin World website it on there about 2010 2012 ?? I think it was a noted as a Com.
One went to auction I think it was Japan or London. The End.

 

I've not seen a 1927 crown, the parliament florin is one of my favourites but my recent 1938 crown really steals the show for me.
I actually prefer new Zealand's coins. I love the centennial 1/2 crown but until I got that free one just never had enough spare cash to buy one whilst chasing other targets. The Maõri hunter on the shillings looks awesome. Much better than a ram :S lol
