I found this beautiful coin on the ebays last year. It is absolutely stunning in hand. It was very reasonable (less than $5). What is a "specimen coin"? It looks a lot like what would be called a "reverse proof" in the US. The reverse Kennedy proof runs for over $50. Why is the specimen so reasonably priced? It is every bit as stunning as the US reverse proof half dollar.
It is part of a specimen set - 2012 Specimen Canadian Canada Caribou Quarter Twenty Five 25 Cent. 50,000 only minted by the RCM Here is another one for sale less than $5.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Canada-25-Cents-From-Specimen-Set-Only-50000-Mintage-/151693118772

Thanks! I would like a slabbed one but they're not terribly common, so I might have to send this one in.
