Jackie was the man. Forget about his athletic ability even thought he was a tremendous baseball player and one of the best ever. I respect him so much because of what he went through. He had racial slurs yelled at him constantly, had things thrown at him, and was basically treated like a dog. He handled it with grace and dignity and his character was impeccable. He opened the door for thousands of black baseball players. He was the right man at the right time.

Here's a 1955 set I picked up in Long Beach last week. The P Jeffersons were soaking in acetone at the time of imaging. Cell phone pix.

Nice! I see some great toning there, especially on the halves and quarters.

That one came from teletrade - it was an MS-64bn. Most of my IHC's came from Heritage and Harlan J Berk, but I picked up 1 or 2 from teletrade or ebay.

Had the 1912 2.1/2 for awhile but this came back freshly graded.
The MOD silver proof was from the MOD set w/ the silver dimes. It was the only one graded 70.

Well I went to my first coin show I could attend in a couple of years. It was a smaller local show. But I cherrypicked a monster!!

It is the newly discovered doubled die. As of today it is only the 4th example found.

That is the million dollar question. Nobody knows yet. It just got assigned an FS number and a CONECA number. I've been in contact with StrikeOutXXX who is the one that discovered this DD. He has told me that it will be in the next edition of the Cherrypickers' Guide. I am waiting to hear more information from him. I will be sending it in for grading and attribution.

Here is another 1919 I picked up. It has really nice doubling in the date. I'm pretty sure this one is strike doubling.
