It is hard not to chuckle at this, but maybe nervously so... Bidding is approaching $1K for this listing: Description and added picture correct it to an "S" instead of an "O: Seems like folks are missing one minor detail:
There are all kinds of whacky bids and things on eBay. Here are two such examples: https://www.ebay.com/itm/385351240341 and https://www.ebay.com/itm/394484173781. The first sold for $1,800 and the second for $2,000. These are rather outrageous sums for a couple of worn and well used Series 1976 $2 bills!
Do you have any more insight on that? Looks like multiple bidders. Seller has thousand feedback and other coins listed for low starting prices. The sellers with 0-10 feedback and listing a penny for $100-$900 I can see some shady money laundering thing with those. Still doesn't make sense? I'd like to learn more about it. Maybe stolen credit cards and free money? Someone knows what's going on with those listings.
Lol I'm definitely no detective, but whenever normal items go for insane sums, things start to smell fishy. As far as the several bidders, eBay allows for people to make multiple accounts. I don't know, this is me just guessing here. But let's be honest, no one is buying that for their collection.
