I'm going to have a bit of fun with this guy, so please nobody report him for another day. I got the eagerly awaited reply and it's better than I could have ever hoped for. Classic... This was my reply, I've got him on the hook now. Wonder if I should let him know that Judd died in '86? Nah, not yet. As y'all can see I need to go charge my phone now.
WHAT THA?! Who bought it, I was just starting to warm up. Seriously though, I hope he or one of his shills bought it. I would hate to think that someone just took a bath on this one.
http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP...&rc=nt&_trksid=p3750801.m370.h1613&rmvSB=true Either someone bought it for $9K or he just paid like $750 in fees to make it look like someone did.
What happened to the listing now? I know it sold, but I can't even look at the concluded listing. Did we report it enough that it got taken out?
No, he's still there. He's still got active auctions, and as of now you can still search his completed auctions to see the Flying Poo Cent listing, but if you try to click through, it's gone. Looks like they nuked that auction and the one for the 1804 dollar "restrike". He's still got a few active listings I don't like the look of, but I don't have enough confidence to report them as fakes myself: 1883 Hawaiian Quarter 1/4 Dollar Excellent Addition to Ones Collection!!! 1925 Stone Mountain Memorial half dollar 1918 Commemorative Lincoln / Illinois Centennial Silver 50c Coin ...and a couple of coins that he doesn't claim are legit, but are still against eBay's policy, and not stamped "COPY" to boot. Mint Error or Proto Type Morgan Dollar??? 1960 Uncirculated restrike of the 1787 FUGIO Colonial Copper Cent Perhaps if we turn up the heat enough we can get him back on the straight and narrow -- or get him the heck off the road. Either would be good.
He pushed a broom at the Denver mint and held several of these... soooooo, the 1856 f.e. cents were minted in Denver, huh? Genius!
Yea when he worked there in 1856 don't you remember he was the guy with the bagg pants WOW your getting old
What's that site that can show you how much a best offer sold for. Someone should check to see how much it sold for.
I questioned him on his "mint error or prototype Morgan Dollar" listing - Description said there was no date and no latin phrase on the obverse. Photo showed a normal design Morgan. He "fixed" the pictures - now it's clearly a cheap Chinese fake. Called him out on it - we'll see what he responds.
I can only assume that he is able to acquire these magnificent coins directly from the mint cabinet in Denver or he swept them up at some point. You will be surprised what you can find sweeping up for thirty years.
