Wow, very interesting. So then answer me this, when they get a Morgan Dollar for example in at NGC or wherever it was sent, what makes them then say, it's naturally toned and not artificially toned like when it also comes to this ASE? The person and their opinion, or does the 13 year age play a roll?

    One can only speculate.

I personally believe that both factors you mentioned come into play just as the "is this piece deserving" factor. What that means (to me) is that the grader looks at a piece such as this common piece of bullion silver (when you get right down to it that is all it is, bullion) and says to themselves; "If I put this piece into a straight grade holder then the submitter is going to be able to sell it for far more than it *should* sell for and I don't think it is deserving of that".

    ** JustHad2 carefully removes tin-foil hat **

Then again they (the graders at NGC) could just be aptly more able to detect AT than I. ;)

    The latter is probably true.

Probably AT. I inherited it ~ 25 years ago, so my cost was zip.

I bought this MS65 quarter eagle a few months ago because I thought it had some interesting green/blues. Still not sure I love it, but going to hang onto it for now.
