$106.50 minus ebay and paypal fees= $92 minus insertion fees, minus shipping. Decent markup if the sales price was $1,000. Not worth the trouble for a $60 item.

I'd say these sets are doing pretty good in light of the market being flooded at the moment. Overall prices are creeping up even though sets offered on eBay have gone from under 200 to over 400.

Flippers are happy with the current profit because, as with any business, inventory turnover is key, and that current profit percent annualized is huge.

After the flipping is done and these sets have been absorbed into collections (2 to 10 years) we'll see what the true value is. Given the low mintage, they'll probably always minimally be worth a multiple of OIP, and if demand is huge, we'll see moon money.

Regardless of what happens in the short term, this is the type of set I like to put away for the long run.

69 especially is good for one thing - being in a holder a little more secure than the OGP. But still those poor velvets had to be killed for the clamshell cases. :D

Really, if we could bet on here, this bet may be a better payoff than this set.

So, I see you like to down play a coin's potential, but, which coins do you think have potential?

IMO, NONE of these 69/70 modern coins have any potentials of going up in value, but for some unknown reasons I'm thinking about putting together a 90% silver PR state quarter set in a Dansco album.

Is there one for one per design, or will you be doing a blank/custom one?

Well, I wouldn't lump all 69/70 moderns into the same category - those with a huge price differential for a minute difference in eye appeal, may be a terrible deal.

I like the PR silver state & parks quarters too. I have a set in OGP and a set in Air-Tites in a display box. I had a bad experience putting proofs in albums, often they don't age well.

I'm thinking Just to buy them in their original cases and crack the cases open then place the coins into a Dansco. Total of (10 sets) 50 coins, right? and the most expensive yr is 1999?

Maybe the silver coins will age different since I live here in dry weather Ca.? my silver coins are in PCGS holders so I don't know how it'll age in an album.

I have the whole set, P-D-S-S, in two Danscos. I live in humid PA. Some of the earlier silver ones are toning a little, none of it unattractive yet. Because of the order of them on the pages, the silver ones are closest to the page edge, away from the binding posts.
