    Happy birthday, John! I really can't go buy a coin in your honor. I've got a drawer-full of coins that need photographing and attribution, and I've got that collection I'm selling for Bing. My desk has a mountain of coins on it at the moment.

    Speaking of Bing's collection, here is a coin that he has given me as a commission for the selling. Thanks brother Bing! Gordian III with Liberalitas, struck on an unusually thick flan. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't care how common they are, I love a sharp Gordian ant...
