We are slowly working on ways to attract more collectors to our site. Getting coins out fast, accurate, and at a low price is our priority. I would be against an ICG chat forum because there are plenty now and at least one of them run by a TPGS is "DEAD." I would be in favor of a place to ask direct questions for a grader to answer.

I believe this occurred with a 1694 Elephant token. I think that it is the reason why CAC no longer certifies pre 1792 American "colonial" coinage.
Fifty years ago, the first law of data processing was "Garbage in, Garbage out." I think it still applies.
I think it would be revolutionary if a collector could get specific feedback. I can remember getting a beautiful Standing Liberty Quarter back in a body bag. Both I and the dealer tried to find out why; but got nowhere. Even a few specifics on why a certain grade was given would be the most profound upgrade of all. James
The grading services are swamped right now. There is no way that they could take the time to provide that service. You might post pictures here. There are a number of expert graders here who could give you their options.
Dear John, You are correct that the top two TPGS's are swamped. Virtually no one gets to talk to a grader. I have a suspicion that if a customer wished to speak to a grader at ANACS they could. One of their customers on CT should probably call them TODAY and verify my suspicion one way or another. I do know this for sure, at ICG, graders talk to our customers and even potential customers several times a day. We even have an open-end special grading tier for members of CT.
They require dealers to meet certain levels of experience and financial ability in addition to ethic standards. I used to always buy from PNG dealers back in the 80's because their members had to give a 30 day return policy and their grading seemed a lot better. They also had to guarantee the authenticity of their coins, I believe, forever. It just seems like another level of protection to me.
It was, slabbed genuine by PCGS. Are you stating CAC stopped beaning Colonials because they realized they didn't have the expertise on hand to verify them (like the TPG obviously had)?
You can't avoid making mistakes altogether when you are starting. I'm advocating that you do so with cheaper raw coins. You don't have the experience or eye to purchase slabbed coins and do well at that level.
Here's one I hope all avoid... There are soooo many things wrong any level of research or just looking should smoke it out; I sent the seller a note and am awaiting his response.
