    image.jpg image.jpg Hey folks

A week or so ago I purachased a buffalo nickel on eBay. It arrive this morning , inside the package was this little black box with the coin inside and a small card. The card is a guarantee of authenticity from First alliance corp.. I've never heard of these guys , I will say the nickel seems to be almost proof like and its pretty much flawless , this worries me a bit ..So does anyone know anything about this company ?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you paid extra for the packaging. If you paid a fair price for the coin only, then you can just throw that packaging away or keep it. It's just a private party reseller just like Littleton. They buy thousand's of coins, put them in their own packaging and mark them up in price.

all 1938 D Buffs are (well nearly all) very well struck, and very nice condition.

It is rare to find one in low grade

I didn't pay any more for the packaging, really didn't even pay near the value of the coin itself .. Bad listing photos , won it for like 7 bucks.
As common as high grade coins of this date are, this coin puts the 38d ms64 coin I have to shame.
Maybe I can use this as the fifth coin I've been needing , at the price I paid it would be worth the grading fee If it would go ms66.
