Picked up a Great Britain half farthing 1830, made for use in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) as I thought it was interesting. Graded AU50 by NGC, think it looks more like XF to me, but it had some interesting doubling going on on the obverse

Au is what I would grade it.

I don't see any wear in the photos so wouldn't be surprised if higher than AU:)

lol funny you posted that I just started a Brit India post.

I'm from the US but I don't really care for most US coinage. I got started on British coins about 8 months ago. I usually get raw and then get graded at PCGS. ive been fairly fortunate with my suppliers. I just sent in 22 to be graded 1 Jun at PCGS so I have my fingers crossed. Mainly penny and half pennies but I did get 3 florins in as well. I've been putting together penny and half penny sets from 1797-1901

I guess I been buy any large penny 1700 - 1945 3 or 6 pence crown trade dollar I could reasonably. Now about six to ten years. Raw and graded.

wow sir, I bet you have a amazing collection. I have 3 Cartwheel 2D 2 1D and 3 1799 1/2s and the 1855 1/2 Above. I sent the 3- 1799 1/2's in with my last submission so ill keep my fingers crossed. one had some corrosion but olive oil and a fiberglass toothpick got most off. 1797a.jpg 1799half.jpg 1799half1.jpg 1799p.jpg 1799p1.jpg cartw1.jpg cartw2.jpg corr.jpg corr3.jpg that's about it for the older ones (pre-1806)

thanks you. I got lucky and won it on Ebay a few months back. I just sent it in to PCGS two weeks ago. so we will see what the grade is in the next week or two. I hope the little nick to the right of Victoria and on chin doesn't hurt the grade to bad.
