I like them both. Guess the RP is more popular because it's more unique.

That's a hot one. You got another one?

You know, for a "dealer" who needed to be explained what "MD" was, that reply is hardly surprising. What did you think we were talking about in that thread, doctors? Lol.

One is a subtle difference from the run-of-the-mill 2015 proofs. The other is about as subtle as a tuna in the face.

Yes, but we WERE talking about doctors on that rampant religion thread that lasted 30 minutes before it got zapped. :D

Then learn this. Those "COTC" reverse proofs are going to be necessary, if at all, for proof collections, that's it.

The irony is that until you whip out at least a pair of plus diopter reading glasses (I'm 60, deal with it.), that sucker looks like anything BUT a proof.

Really? I didn't know they "zapped," here. I thought that was reserved for those PCGS/CU forums. Sometimes they'll end one, though. But I've yet to have seen them chuck one.

My "cheaters" are only 3X, I think. I got them at Walgreens. But seriously, that's interesting. I haven't seen one up close.

Obviously, you have to be there while it happens. Some brand new member started a numismatic sounding thread and immediately went all John 3:16 on us.

It was fun while it lasted- lots of wild stuff posted because everyone knew the thread was doomed from the word "go".

Talk to MIke or Matt, they'll tell you. I believe Carlton just wasn't reliable enough, or didn't make doing the show as high a priority in his life as Matt and Mike. I had the pleasure to meet all three. My kid was able to score a CoinShowRadio I [heart] Coins t-shirt at ANA 2011 by finding them on the bourse floor. Carlton was a, umm, rather unique human being. The t-shirt was the hit of the fall Baltimore Whitman show that year. My kid was 16 but looked younger, and dealers LOVE to encourage YN's. He got lots of warm attention, and we spread the word about the podcast.

Carleton's a college kid and I'm pretty sure he left the trio due to educational (studies?) concerns. Nice fellow. Ain't seen him about in awhile. He used to run the March Madness thing but didn't do it this year.....once again, I think his studies got in the way of things.

I have decided I have been wrong ... kinda.

I have decided that the reverse proof 2015 dime is the Coin of the Century, ..... among dimes, ..... so far, ..... minted since 2001. There, peace and harmony are restored to the benefit of all. Now let's go down a few.
