Does anyone have any idea of what this coin that I post is? I have never seen this type before?

    My initial impression was Thailand, then I discarded that guess in favor of India, due to the alphabet with a large number of letters with flat connected tops.

    That's where I give up.

    It's a token. Hindu Temple - I can tell by the umbrella and the monkey..

    its a long story, but I lost the photos I posted here. When I get my Nikon back I will take other photos and post them for you-thanks

    I went to the site you left the link for, and apparently, like you said, it is a temple token-the info with the picture on that link notes was-"Token from India, Ram Darker-Temple Ramatanka." The date is 1740, and on another picture, it noted this date and that it is rare! Thanks for your help!
