Doug has the other kind of bulls, unfortunately. Six different mints' junkers; no real nice ones but a couple are OK. The first one was $7.99 postpaid off eBay in 2012. It was a new seller and people do not like new sellers. It has a lot of detail but damage to the face. I hate to be difficult re: the OP but I read DN FL CL .... NOB CAES. That could be Julian but those names belong to Gallus as well. I don't see Arles from the photo so I'll leave it as a coin that need more study for proper ID. I'd start by finding photos of both portraits and trying to ID the mint. I want to say Rome but I'm tired tonight and may not see straight.
Sweet new Julian II, Gil-galad ... man, how many coins did you buy on your spree? I have a bull-example as well (go figure, eh?) .... moo
Julian II Coin: Bronze AE3 DN IVLIAN-VS NOB CAES - bare-headed, draped, cuirassed bust right FEL TEMP R-EPARATIO - soldier spearing fallen horseman who is wearing Phrygian helmet and reaching backwards, M in center Mint: Arles (355-360 AD) Wt./Size/Axis: 2.88g / 18mm / - References: RIC 271
I've gotten about 10 coins this month, so far. About 6 last month. I've also been reshooting some coins and there were some in my desk that have been sitting there for a long time.
I'm definitely going to be studying the coin more as what you guys said is making sense. Thing is that a thick letter looked more like a "I" than a "C" at first, but I think you guys are right about it.
