I found this and was just wondering if anyone else saw anything in the lower loop of the second 8. All help appreciated thanks.
There's one in cpg that's close but not the one you have. Since the cpg is so out dated on newer finds maybe someone who has a Snow may be of more help. Take a look at the 1 's foot as well as both 8 ' s and the 9 inside the loop and tail.
Ok when you in large the image it distorts so that said I was not sure if there was or wasn't anything there.
There's also a ddr for this date, however your's is not. You could see the oak leaves and acorns on the right side doubled if it was.
This is a great website for IHCs, with images & details for a lot of the snow varieties. http://indianvarieties.com/pennies/indian-head-cents/
There's a lot of crud in the numbers. Some of mine I did a dip. I will not suggest you do the same as I can't promise an out come. That's your call. But I do see items as I have stated. Could it be a new variety ? To my knowledge yes it could. But only research can answer that question for sure.
