When selling on ebay if a item is over a certain dollar amount, signature confirmation is required in case there is a dispute. When purchasing and printing label on ebay, if it met the requirent it would automatically check the box for you. Recently it has not been prompting me for sig conf. Did i do something to on accident to change this safe guard or did ebay end it?

No, they changed the amount from $250 to $750 (value of the coin/item).

But I just (+- 2 months ago) sold a coin $200+. The box was checked saying it was "recommended". And it has been $750 for over a year.

Yes, it has been over a year. It almost bit me for a delivery. But I still get prompted, but not required.

I do everything I can to protect myself when I sell on eBay. This includes a signature requirement on everything I ship. This is so I can prove not only that the item was delivered, but who actually took delivery. It helps me avoid any problems with claims.

Just a FYI - These signatures are not what they are cracked up to be. I own a business that gets a lot of mail, and at times a lot requiring a signature. Because of this, the PO has an employee's signature 'on file'. I have asked them repeatedly to remove this from their files and obtain an actual signature on each shipment, but they always seem to revert back to their 'on file' signature. The only way you can tell the difference is for the PO to look at the details themselves - they can tell the carrier was in the PO when the signature was obtained, thus proving it was not signed for at the time of delivery.
