So a couple of weeks ago I attended the Oklahoma City Coin show. There were about 90-100 tables. I got ALOT of real nice deals. Here are some of the deals that got with pics to boot. Enjoy. :woot:

    (3) Canadian Maple Leafs at $19/each

    (4) Mexican Libertads at 20/each

    (2) 1947 Mexican "Cuauhtémoc" Cinco Peso Coins at $20/each

    (7) 20-pocket sheets at $5/a sheet (This was way cool and I paid $35 for over $400 worth of coins)

    $3.00 face for $37.50 or $12.50

I got some nice Greek, Russian, Canadian, and Luxemburg coins. Plus a whole lot of British Penny's that I love to collect. :Big Grin: I truly enjoyed the coin show and look forward to the National Money Show that will be held on March 3-5, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. Enjoy!!! :joyful:

P.S. I apologize for the last 5 photos. I could not get them rotated in the proper order. I tried everything.

There is something about shows that makes me buy a few higher-grade, rarer coins, rather than a bunch of less expensive items. I don't know why that is, because I buy plenty of cheap coins on the internet. Anyway, the last show I went to was the Red Rose Coin Show in Lancaster PA, very small, maybe 50 tables. I found several iconic Hard Times Tokens and a couple of interesting Civil War Tokens, including the always popular Bird-stuffer.

A week prior to the Red Rose show, I went to one of the largest, Baltimore - 1500 tables. I came away with three coins.

A large Ptolemaic bronze, 4th-century BC...

Sassanian silver, 6th-century AD, Khusrau II, very thin, about the size of a US half dollar...

And a very rare Gaius Caesar Roman provincial, Laodicea, 1st-century BC...

And prior to that I attended the first Gettysburg show, and it looks like they're planning to run it again this year, which is very good news to me! Here's a tray of Roman and Greek I found at that show...

The funny thing is I don't collect any of these except the 3 pence for my Victoria type set. I just liked them so I bought them. Though I am thinking of starting a Ecu type set to go with my 19th century 5 franc type set.

I've foresworn saying "I don't collect these." What's the point when you've got a box full of coins you "don't collect?" If a piece engages my imagination and intellect, I collect it.

Don't collect was the wrong term, they don't fit in any of my many, maybe too many type sets. But I like them just the same and they are now part of my collection.
