A PCGS MS67 FB recently sold for $26.77 on eBay. A mint set with the W dime sold for $15 recently on eBay. I don't see that as super special, especially in light of inflation.

 There are millions of them in TPG slabs that are problem free. I hardly call that "most" of them.

More of your selective gloss... How refreshing. No one used the word "always." Every now and then even a blind squirrel finds an acorn.

Do something very easy. Make the choice, trade you MS 16-D for a modern RP Roosevelt. I know, there is no valid comparison. The choice between a low survival rate of a century old low mintage business strike for a modern made for collectors coin that we all just got in the mail is a no brainer.

I believe that @Tom B has stated it correctly, the speculation is unwarranted at this point. I see it as a nice addition to any collection, but the speculation is flippers just trying to be used car dealers at this point for profit. I wish you all the best, but just look back at the circus that was the first spouse series to know that it may not be all that was advertised.

"most significant coin of century" - tad premature. 84 years and so many electrons to go ...

If I owned one you can have it for $100 bucks, and I would still feel like crook for selling a $30 coin for $100 bucks.

Maybe I'm the only person who feels this way, but the "other dime" other than the Reverse Proof is the main reason I bought a set. I think all RP's are gimmicky.

Seriously? " To each his or her own" indeed, I guess. I'd call it artifice and contrivance.
