Good point. I went to one of my LCS's today and asked him what his prices on UNC Rosy's were. He basically said they were not worth collecting. He didn't say anything positive about the RP and P Roosy's either. Of the two shops I hit today, the dealers are frustrated with the mint. RP Presidential dollars, and one shop said the mint is doing another anniversary eagle set this year. Anyone hear about that?

  3. What!? Knowing the US Mint, it is probably a special silver eagle set to commemorate the 2 year anniversary of the 2013 silver eagle set.

Yeah, I don't know how reliable it is, when I asked what for, he said it was the 25th anniversary of someone having something to do with the silver eagles. I don't know. I'll call the LCS tomorrow and ask him to tell me more. Or at best where he heard/read it. I can't find anything online about it.

I don't need to give a link. I know what it says and don't care if you believe it or not.

Can you provide a link for this "fact" you're talking about?

I sell more dimes than any other series. The Reverse Proof Rosie will be a must have for dime collectors.

And therein lies the problem with modern coins produced by the US Mint. Every year they roll out more and more "special" coins. They may be low mintage and therefore "rare" (as far numbers go), but when you have so many different special types, is being rare rare?

I like your style man, but c'mon. You're only saying that cause you're selling them lol

EDIT: It could also be you sell more dimes cause they seem to be your lowest price point, as far as silver goes.

This thread title -- the most ridiculous overstated thread title on CoinTalk of the century. ;)

I for one , think the Rosie is one of the plainest coins out there and almost ugly . But to each his own . It's also one easy set to put together with no rarities unless you count condition rarity . Coin of the century , I doubt it , coin of the year I doubt that too .

HAHA, far from it. I'm sure this will be as big a hit as the 1994 and 1997 matte specimen Jefferson nickels...wah-wah-wah---- YAWN! :)

You have to understand, thread title is not unusual for OP. He's got a unique style that's for sure. I will admit he's a funny dude though. By the way, be sure to check out his silver erect man organ and frog pieces. He's promoting them on here lol

Oh, trust me...I am well acquainted with the OP. Hyperbole is in his blood... :)

It is entertaining, but sometimes I just have to push back a little. ;)

Did you buy a couple hundred of these? It seems like you're trying hard to establish a market for them. You wouldn't be the first speculator to get stuck with unsold stock (I've got a few unpackaged Beanie Babies I'd love to unload for a profit, but I know it's not going to happen).
