First Day Sales for March of Dimes Silver Set Reach 52,540

Yep, running out of stock and having to wait four months for delivery definitely hurt sales. I'd probably pay the little premium they're currently selling for on eBay to get them now.

Ok, maybe they now never say sell out just in case one shows up under the vending machine in the mint break room...lol.

 

Wouldn't it be cool if someone found an error or discovered a variety in this set?

I could imagine perhaps a clad planchet getting mixed in with the silver ones for this sets dimes. Here's to hoping a few of us get lucky and find such a thing

 

That would be great. Imagine if there was some way to distinguish the 75,000 silver dollars in the set from those released individually. Hmmm....

 

That would send the heads of the silver only collectors spinning.

 

One pic of the set looked like the eyeglasses were polished on the dollar in the set, but other pics seemed frosted.

 

If you actually want the set for your collection, then bother. If you can find one on the secondary market at a good price in the meantime, you can always cancel the order before it ships.
