I got one for my own collection with no problem. I thought about getting a few sets to flip, but I'll never do it anyway and end up sitting on them for way too long. Should be a promising set though considering the 75K limit on the two proof dimes. Even though I really like the design, I don't think that there will really be much demand for the dollar though; simply too high of a mintage for a commemorative.

No, not a flop show, looks like the actually fixed most of the load issues.

 

i hope the darn thing sells out if one of these special sets dont sell out it will mean the beginning of the end for modern coins

 

Got my 5. Now the question is: send them all off unopened for grading; or open them, cherry pick coins for my collection, and send off the remaining dimes?

Started order at 12 edt, took 5 attempts to check out, order #USM03194xxx, order shows as processing.

 

I've already received my second email update. Everything looks good on my end.

My CC has already been hit! Amazingly!

 

They charged my CC for my first order already, got an email for my second order, and the one already charged says back ordered.

 

My order number is USM03196xxx so that was 2,000 sets in just a couple minutes because I started at 12 and got kicked out 4 times as a guest and once through my account login before I was able to complete it on the phone. At least I got one. I'm gonna flip one set eventually for my first attempt as a flipper.

 

I haven't seen any other actual pictures yet of the dimes but I took a screen capture of the set as shown in the promotional video on the MOD site. The dimes look pretty good imo.

 

That's 2,000 orders, potentially 10,000 sets. A friend of mine ordered at the exact same time, her order went through about 2 minutes before mine and her order number is about 5,000 before mine or potentially 25,000 sets.

 

How many here are buying to flip? I thought about it and just got one for myself. if sellable on ebay for $100, by the time costs are paid for, you net $80/each. Hard for me to get too excited about making $19 / set.

 

Interesting, notice how Salk's eyeglasses look polished in the pic of the set. I don't know, does the proof dollar sold separately look the same?

Long term, there will be fewer of these dimes available than 1916-d dimes.
