What are we looking at ? I see a little die deterioration , but that's it .

The only thing I see that looks like a D is the mint mark. Where are you seeing this?

 

Guess you need to learn the alphabet and what the letter D looks like or just not reply if you can't see.

 

Perhaps you are the one who is in need of alphabet learning. The only thing that looks like a D is the D mint mark. The only other mark on there is a splotch near the 1 that does not look like a D but like a splotch and PMD.

I think he is referring to the carbon spot on the left side of the date.

 

Both guys know more about Lincoln Cents than you ever will with that attitude.

There is only one D in that picture. What you see by the 1 in the date is a simple stain or discoloration whatever you want to call it.

 

Not trying to make friends in this thread I see... Please check your attitude and name calling. That splotch looks nothing like a D, forgive the poor guy for not thinking it's a D and being confused at your ill-formed question.
