I would like to first nail down a Siliqua for each Emperor. Then perhaps specialize on one or two Emperors ( Mag Max and Constantius II come to mind)

I need to specialize in something, but I keep buying all over the board.

=> I find that randomness keeps it interesting (I am merely trying to follow Doug's lead ... the dude seems to have a coin-example for every single thread!!)

Or just toss-in a theme ... ummm, like chasin' animals!!

    ;)

Mat chose chicks, JA follows Nabobaedingos, Eng is a Byzzy guy ... oh, and TIF seems to be trying to corner the market on sewer-coins!!

Bing => lately, you seem to be following the RR scent ... that alone is a pretty random trail

man, now I want to buy a coin ... uh-oh

Mag Max... even though I may not share your singlemindedness, it is fun to watch. Keep 'em coming! :)

Ooops, sorry Mag-Max, I forgot where I was standing ...... ummm, having a clear goal is also a strategy (but not for a dude that gets distracted easily!!)

Yeah, I do have an affinity for Roman Republican coins and also the First Century AD, but, like you said, it's still pretty random.

I guess my coins aren't cool enough to receive a mention huh? :( ("Jango who...?")

My favorite college professor advised that we strive to know a little bit about everything and everything about a little bit. That theory transfers to coins when we collect generally and have a specialty for which we must have them all.

=> ahahaha, sorry Jango ... I only picked a few examples

Oh, and don't forget to mention Jango's Ostrogothic-Vandalistic-Carolingian-thing-a-mabobs!!

Continuing with Steve's music group theme:

Put your hands together for Jango and the Vandalistics.

=> Jango's tunes are pretty rockin' but occasionally their concerts are a bit much!!

I kinda thought offering you "Good Luck" was good enough.

I am just having a bit of fun with ya Bing. ;)
In all honesty though do you think this coin is worth €600?

For those of us not knowledgable about these coins and time period, can you describe why this particular coin is more desirable, and what you mean by "pre-reform"?
