I'm sorry, but these guys claim to be a profession company and already have a bad rep for grading and this won't do much too help that any. This is completely unexceptionable. If it would have been me I would have reported this to the BBB and contacted an attorney.

 

I'm sure this happens at all of the TPG services from time to time. It is sad, but as the previous post mentions we're human, and accidents will happen. The best of the luck with the outcome. From what I know of Mr.Briggs it will get taken care of.

 

If you are 'loosing' sleep over this you need to tighten up!

 

If "completely unexceptionable", you are right.... it won't help any, but then it shouldn't hurt either. It certainly seems, at least from the OP's perspective, that what he claims to have happened is completely exceptionable.

Haha, I didn't catch that when you replied. I guess today has been one of those days. I don't get too upset about things anyways. Its nice too see humor in a coin group, which usually equals a friendly bunch.

This is what I am dealing with over my coin. All I wanted was my coin graded.

First of all let me tell you that you must be describing someone else as being honest-not yourself! Please remember now-I’m just” RESTATING YOUR FACTS”!!! Every time we talked to you-you had a different story to tell!! Let me casually refresh your memory!!First off YOU said you had talked to Heritage & they offered you $5000 for this encased postage & you turned them down! YOU then said Heritage told you after you turned them down that this was the finest they had ever seen! YOU also said this was a family heirloom-which it may be-BUT YOU SENT IT TO SEGS FOR GRADING & NEVER INSURED IT FOR ONE DIME!!! AN HEIRLOOM WORTH NOTHING APPARENTLY TO EVEN INSURE IT!!??That was after our initial contact telling you to send it ”UPS insured”!! Our initial delay was in ordering a book to properly place an attribution on it. The book went backordered! Then the delay became as I was informed incorrectly for the size & shape of your item in its packaging!! In the meantime –if you recall & we have your emails/texts to back this up-you said you had contacted “YOUR ATTORNEY” & was advised for us to pay you in full the so-called $5000!! Then you changed your mind & said payment be sent on a Monday to you & you wouldn’t cash the check!!Then YOU said you”d take a $ 2500 check but wouldn’t cash it!! I stopped talking to you sir when you said “ATTORNEY” & turned this over to OUR attorney!! You then stated on the internet –I refused to talk to you!! YOU talk about your honesty & “JUST THE FACTS” Mr. Brown-come on- when I did talk to you again –you changed your story AGAIN- to state you really hadn’t talked to Heritage after all & you really didn’t talk to your attorney-you talked to your relative who is an attorney!!! As far as a $5000 offer coming to you –that too is in question as I was able to pull up @ 30 auction records from Heritage & internet research! The highest paid for any piece was @$1500. The last sale as of internet was last year @ $329!!! A far cry from the $5000 you claimed your piece to be worth & offered!! I’m going to save you some hastle Mr. Brown –first we tape every item that comes thru our company to protect us from people like you that make accusations against us-& WE HAVE SUCH!! The stamp we have is the one & the same as you sent to us !!!Secondly you made slanderous accusations against me –Larry Briggs & SEGS grading company!! YOU SAID “WE STOLE YOUR ITEM”!!!YOU put it in print on the internet & we have copies of that as well – SIR!!! Your family wants you to get an attorney?? YOU should let them read this first-the same as all of internet !! Then how do you think this will fare for you!!?? Such a line of baloney you spew forth when you talk, as every time you do, something different seems to come forth!! Bottom line is you can retract what you said about us on internet –or we will post your emails & voice messages! Also-you can have your stamp back thru MR. WEEMS-as your” honesty” from all of your statements overwhelms us to the point of-& forgive me Mr. Brown –just downright not trusting your word!!!! Mr. Weems will be handling your payment to us & your item will be returned thru him as well as the retractions!!! If not – you may have a legal problem of your own that far outweighs “the lousy $400”as you put it, as well as slander in print makes a compelling court case!!! JUST STATING “YOUR FACTS MR.
