This was an ebay purchase with bad pictures and a clearly marked 2x2.
After packing it up and sending back to the seller I was looking at the pictures again.
Well what do you know...if you try hard enough to see something maybe just maybe it appears
PMD but hey I see a D under heavy magnification, not the right size or location...but

Or maybe 1914-τ, or possibly even 1914-π. The photo's a little too fuzzy to be sure.

D stands for Dot. It's the rare 1914 Dot. (joke for Canadian collectors)

There's nothing missing from the coin. There is however, an added 'D' on the 2x2.

 

If you look closely you can actually see a tiny D. It’s not a mint mark, it’s not the correct size and it’s in the wrong area but it’s close.

 

Don't ya just hate when that happens?

WELL Technically the 2x2 description was 1914-D
That could technically be minus the D.
Coins are back in the mail and seller refunded my money.
I referred to it as a swing and a miss, but really I connected just not enough to score.
