A little history in photos of Susan B Anthony who only lived about an 1 1/2 hours from me in Adams, Ma. when born.
Looks she may not have had but her contributions to the cause of women's rights abound. Think of the series as a minor commemorative issue.......
And... The series is a fun one to introduce a young collector to variety collecting while assembling a completed set without ruining the college fund. That will be the ending legacy of the SBA dollar. (I do hope you're not trying to get me to adopt a politically correct line of thinking here. Umm, not happening. I don't DO PC.) The closer I get to age 60 (before the Rosemont ANA), the less interest I have in being PC.
P - o - l - i - t - i - c - a - l C - o - r - r - e - c - t - n - e - s - s. But I get the feeling you were pulling my leg anyway. Besides, my computer's shortcut name is "Mac". We can do white background advertising schtick whenever you like.
Hey I've got 3 wide rim (near date) to sell anyone interested pm me. Kurt I'll give you the PC discount 3 times red book.
Re the wide rim / near date '79 (which one IS it anyway?), what are the grades? I have a AU/BU slider I like, but I would consider a solid MS upgrade.
Just 3 Bu/Au coins nothing like ms quality . I just said I have them as I'm selling some coins for an older lady and they are hers. I told her may get a few bucks for them . Should of just sold them and handed her the money.
I think nice clean 79 near dates are a good low risk play from here. My now-deceased mother saved all SBA's she ran into in a dinosaur piggy bank for my son from the day of his birth. When we looked at them after she died, there were 8 1979 nears, none fully MS.
I've got one that appears to be an error. It has George Washington's head..... oh nevermind, it's a quarter.
