this coin has spent a lot of time in a store parking lot getting run over...post mint damage.

It looks like some one through it into an altra power blender. If it's been struck multiple times it probably will not be worth anything now.

All of you guys are wrong about how it got damaged! It really was dropped in a blender when someone was making a smoothie, the smoothie tasted horrible so whoever was drinking it pour it down the drain. The garbage dispossal turned on at that moment and then when it turned off three hours later it fell into the drain. It spent 22 years in the sewer and got chewed by rats until the sewer cleaning company drained it out. He accidently dropped the penny on the street and it got ran over every mintute for the next ten years... Okay I will stop before it gets too boring.

Point is, It is post mint damage. It looks like the torch was caused by some slice marks on the metal.

You appear to be suffering from a severe case of pareidolia, sir, but not to worry; it is a common ailment, and one that can often he cured without the need of medical intervention.

Hint: Occam's Razor. You are in possession of a coin unlike those you see everyday. It's different, but why? Is it more likely that this coin was struck by at least three different dies of different denominations, then somehow damaged before coming to be in its present state, or perhaps the damage is responsible for what you're seeing?

Yes, I want to hear this also. No matter what you think it's just a damaged coin.
