    Pretty cool looking but it looks to me like someone scratched it right in that area. PMD or not, it still looks like it could be called a "close call" not a variety though.

    Exactly. Just wanted to share the neat pocket find. Maybe others can do the same. Coins dont need to be valuable varieties to be interesting or fun to collect.

    IMO - I say Post Mint Damage because a Strike Through of a foreign object would normally leave an indentation without the raised metal such as your quarter. Looks like it took a nasty hit and caused a gouge. But as always interesting find!
