Yesterday I asked a bank next to the supermarket I was going to if they had any old coins or bills. They had a nice 1967 40% silver half dollar and a 1935b Silver Certificate. Today I went to another bank to get two boxes of dimes to coin roll hunt when they said they set aside a silver certificate for me. This one is newer, 1957b. I'm amazed, it took me many years to find my first silver certificate in circulation this December or January than anther three month to find my second and 24 hours to find my third. Anyways, I thought I wanted to share what I found.
That's a nice SC bill. But I wouldn't say that you found the 3rd certificate because you stated that the bank "set it aside" for you That is a cool bank! They must know you very well.
They know me by first name! They have set quite a bit of silver aside for me plus a steelie and a 1929 wheatie! I am thinking of giving them something nice soon, maybe some donuts from Dunkin' Donuts or some cookies. Do you know any other bank that ordering $1000 worth of half dollars a week and lets you take two boxes of dimes?? Even though the SC is not worth much over face it is still a very fun find IMO
