Congrats to The Penny Lady!! I hope she reads this thread. I would be very proud if I was in that magazine. She deserved it, she is such a great writer
The Penny Lady, rock star in the world of coins. Too bad we can't call her a coin star but that's something else. Many congrats on the write up Penny Lady!!
Ok, so not only is she in this little snippet, her award winning exibit, "Penny Potpourri", is the featured article on the cover. It was the first thing I read, and didn't even notice it was hers. Great article btw @The Penny Lady® !
Interesting article. I was left wanting to see more. If I'm not mistaken, I think this is only a small sampling of her collection. Perhaps a book in the future?
Nunismatist /n/ [2015] - a coin collector who has no coins... At least you don't collect stamps, right... THAT term sounds positively obscene.
I told her that she needed to change her name to the cent lady and she gave me the stink eye. Rick Snow got a good laugh out of it though. Really though, she is just lovely and has a sweet inventory. Congratulations Charmy.
Wow! I just discovered this thread - thank you so much everyone! And yes, the original article was about 3 times as long and included most of what was in my original Penny Potpourri exhibit. But the editors of the Numismatist wanted to focus on the more popular items, like the dollhouse furniture and especially the teapots. The bio with my photo that is posted at the beginning of this thread is just the acknowledgment of the people who wrote articles for that issue. Thank you also for the encouragement, but rest assured, I have no plans to write a book. Perhaps I will publish the article and photos in its entirety sometime.....
