I'm recently returned from my sojourn in Florida and have just gotten around to opening up a few packages (subscriptions and such) from the US Mint........the Marshall's commem blew me away. Why, ask you? Was the quality of strike and condition not up to your expectations or standards Ken? Absolutely........nothing to complain about. I'm quite satisfied, especially in light of all the kvetching that was going on in this forum about the condition of these coins received. They all look great.......probably '69's and '70's.........then what are you saying? What's all the hub bub, bub? The invoice. It ain't me........I mean, they got the order right but the name is all wrong. My name is not E. Rich from (unmentionable) California. My name is Ken from (unmentionable) Long Island. How do you screw that up? What if I had to return these (not that I could.....the time frame for doing so has expired)............
I'm wondering who received yours. If it was returned to the Mint, then wouldn't you have received another shipment? Apparently you didn't, so it is likely that another person got yours for free. Chris
LOL......when I was down in Florida the most plentiful of oranges seemed to come from California. I'd see trucks (local) laden with the fruit headed for the 'juicer companies' but could I find any of this fruit in the local stores? Hardly a chance......but I did succeed on a few occasions.
Ken, that is because we Floridians all have orange trees in our yards (or, at least our neighbors do), and the grocery stores know it. Chris
The problem with most Californians is that they want everything their way. Well, you can start by keeping your earthquakes, mudslides and forest fires. Chris
We all hive citrus in our yards here. The stores have a tough time selling oranges even at $2.50 for a five pound bag.
Heck, that would be a bargain indeed.......I love juicing orange......so much better than the packaged stuff they sell in the stores.
There is no way of knowing what E. Rich received. For all we know, he may have reported never receiving it, and the Mint sent him a replacement. Chris
You didn't pass the Tropicana orange juice train going or coming ? Heck I see it every week going north full or going south a lot faster.
Still.....I think I'll make a little ringy dingy to the mint customer service section. I think they should be made aware of such a mistake......
