The D in particular but all of the word GOD and I believe the date also shows doubling. I checked a couple of the usual suspect sites but no match. It doesn't look like MD to me but....

Tom, do you agree the S has doubling, too?

The 'S' shape is rather common for this period . Here is a 1969 S with similar appearance.

A long time ago, I thought it was a RPM, but it is MD, along with date and other areas.

I was asking him, not you, lol. But really, I was trying to show him this is a "tell" for strike doubling on these cents on which the mint marks were punched into the dies after the hubbings.

The MM looks like it took a hit but it could all be MD. The spread on the D of god is pretty wide though. Oh well I'll put it away and look at it again someday.
    Thanks

Tom, the MD is easier for me to see on the O than the D. What I think is that all 3 letters had MD, but it seems some die deterioration also increase the thickness appearance of the D on the right hand side, but the photo doesn't show well.

I have a question. Why do you guys think it's a doctor?

    Yup.

I have a question. Since Huntsman isn't here anymore aren't you just Frank now instead of The Other Frank?

    Great catch!

    And whatever happened to him?
