1902 1000 Kronen from Austria is huge and seen better days. I love this one and never seen money so large. 1905 3 ? It has Austria national symbol. Seen better days Enjoy, Steve
Really, it is a Russian Imperial 3 rouble note of 1906, made valueless by the Bolshevik Revolution. The one you have was issued well after 1906. Bulgarian notes are in Lev or Leva The Austrian horseblanket is another child of inflation, linking the pre-war Austro-Hungarian Empire with the massive inflation of the early 1920s in Austria when all these high denomination notes became first small change then wall paper.
I like your 1902 1000 Kronen note. I have several of them--I'm working on a collection of Austria-Hungary pre-inflation banknotes. They had some beautiful artwork on them.
Actually the note is from 1906 as it has a proper serial number. After 1917 these notes were printed by the Bolsheviks with a SERIES number. If you like large notes try the Russian 100 or 500 Ruble notes. They are huge. Closer to home are the old English white notes measuring 5 1/4x8 1/4 inches. Poland also issued some very large Marek notes.
