For a 63, no it's not worth the trouble.

Was the listing for a generic 63 perchance? The cert numbers do suggest at least the possibility...

Nah I looked and he had the one he just sent me for sale as well. Probably just mixed them up.

That has happened to me before too - I let the guy know about his mistake but told him no big deal, just to let him know because the next guy that receives a wrong # coin might be leaving negatives.

That's what I was thinking of doing. Not worth the time and $$$ to try to get the right one. Thanks!

  8. I would let the seller know but would not complain or demand a return. There could be a discount in your future if you play it right.

That happen to me before, except I ended up getting the holed scratched cleaned coin and the person who ordered the holed scratched cleaned coin got my problem free coin.

If you're happy with the coin you received, I might just keep it. BUT...I would at the very least contact the seller and let them know.

If you prefer the coin you actually were supposed to get, I wouldn't blame you a bit for asking that the correct coin be sent.

Having been "swapped" my fair share on eBay, it does happen for a variety of reasons. It's unfortunate when there is a variety I've missed out on because of a seller error...but from my perspective as a seller I'd want the opportunity to at least know about the error and make it right, whatever that means.

There is no reason to flip out and start throwing negative feedbacks around without at least talking to the other human being involved in the mixup.

I did, great seller though, first thing I was told is "Maybe I could get the guy to send back his coin for you and you could exchange them" not sure that will happen lol. He said he will refund me if I send it back next. I asked him if I could keep the coin and split the difference between the coin I payed for and the coin I got. Sure enough it worked.

Complete accident though on the seller's part, no need for any bad feedback.

I won an auction for some nickel rolls at face value when the package arrived it was three knives instead. I'm sending them back and he's going to send me the rolls I won and some more rolls to cover shipping so I'm happy. These things happen mostly by mistake but I did get a Jefferson Coin and Currency set that had a star note pictured and the set I received didn't have a star note I contacted the seller and agreed to keep the set I received at a greatly discounted price. Turns out the seller used the same pictures each time they listed a set of these they had for sale. I hate stock photos and never buy when they tell it in the listing, I want what I want. Both of the coins you are talking about look like twins so no big deal.

I agree, most likely an honest mistake no reason to make a huge deal. I believe there is enough negativity in this world without me adding to it haha
