Well I got these in as I wanted to get some in higher grades. As a hint, I paid $45 for the pair.....The D was too hard to get a good picture of...
I think both are SP-68. As far as I know no SP-70 graded coins exist. I love that they went back to the original high relief instead of the ugly low relief for that issue.
Hopefully, the "P" didn't grade SP67 since it has a huge hit on the upper cheek under the eye. SP65 IMO. Ignore this comment as it only demonstrates my Ignorance.
Well I'll be damned! You are exactly right as I've simply never noticed that before! I checked a 1964 Proof and there it was! My apologies Ethan.
Getting both of those coins in those grades for $45 is a very good deal. Does the seller have any more?
Accepted - I was thinking how one did not know that until I realized I had to find out myself when trying to grade one....no worries. I would have thought that true until I looked at the averages, somewhere I saw someone look and see the distributions are about equal - give or take. Still a 69 from ANACS does not for sure mean a drop to NGC/PCGS....statistically that is. I think not, I sniped it and my bid was $65 for both. It went for $45, and I just got lucky.
I looked at the coin show yesterday and NO kennedy's like this for sure, none. No PCGS, ANACS, or NGC....and just one raw set for $25.
