I just was going through a roll of 1943 P War Nickels to send one to an friend here at CT. and low and behold......the next coin in the roll is a nice Lamination error.
I'm posting 4 shots so you can see the medal peeling away. You may also notice a small piece of thread from the money bag caught up under his nose. Poor Jefferson has to have one heck of a head ache, as the split goes right through his scalp. ouch! 1943 Lamination error rev.jpg 1943 P Lamination error obv..jpg 1943 P close up 1.jpg 1943 P close up 2.jpg 1943 P #3.jpg

BTW This same roll of UNC. 1943 P's produced these two errors also. This roll was from My Dads stash he put away years ago while working at the bank. After he passed I opened the roll and found these two. My dad worked for the Federal Reserve Bank for 47 years. 1943 2.jpg 1943 ddo eye.jpg

    Nice lamination

The last one is the DDO, doubled eye.

The middle may or many not be the 3/2, hard to say, there is also a similar die crack that resembles the overdate.

No Frank it is as it's graded by NGC MS-65 as well as the DDO. :)

What I liked is the money bag thread under his nose. It's stuck in the split hard to see in photo 4 but it's there.
