Heritage caters to their biggest dealer buyers first. Why? Because many of those dealers are highly leveraged, and cash flow is their lifeblood. Those dealers want to be able to sell and deliver their winnings as soon as they are paid for, and Heritage is made to know that. Thus, unless you can get the attention of someone at Heritage, you stand further back in the line. To make matters worse, many of those large dealers buy huge quantities of the coins in the auctions, and it takes Heritage a lot of time for them to settle those accounts first.
Gotta love the "instant gratification generation" -- so do you need them NOW because you are going to flip/sell them, or why the impatience? So if you would have received them 2 days after you paid for them, how would that have changed your life? People need to chill out. Ever heard the quote "good things come to those who wait"? Just my 2 cents...
I don't know what generation you are, but I can say that you're acting a bit like a millennial... Now will you answer my question? If you would have received them 2 days after you paid for them, how would that have changed your life?
No my life would not have changed. But I think it is reasonable for anybody to expect to get products in a timely fashion. If someone owns a microwave are they considered impatient because they don't use a stove? If the industry standard is to receive an item in a timely fashion and there is another dealer that does not do that, why is that considered impatient?
I guess your definition of "TIMELY" differs from mine. It has been a scant 7 business days since your auction closed. I hope you will survive until your coins arrive. hahaha...
They have a lot of what I want, but in many cases, the "buy it now" or minimum first bid is too high. They do have excellent customer service.
I have purchased from them over a dozen times and they seem slow if you win one coin in the first day of an auction that spans several days. They wait until the entire multi-day auction is over, even if you have no intention of buying anything else in the following days (which HA would not know, of course).
Yes, Heritage is notoriously slow. As a collector, that makes no difference at all. If I were a dealer, however, and this was for inventory, then it would make a very big difference - I'd have a lot of money tied up in transit, and I couldn't sell the coin until I had it.
My latest win was Sunday night (two days ago). I did not pay yet since I have two coins coming up tonight and wanted to combine shipping. I received an email today that item has been shipped (again I didn't even pay yet). That is great service Heritage.
Hold on there Tex, I'm pretty sure you and I are both part of the "instant gratification generation", it's just that you are more patient than most. I've started to chill out a bit myself actually. Now, those young kids are REALLY into instant-grat.
