Athena and owl

    I picked this up a couple weeks back, showed up a few days ago, since we have some new owls posted i thought i'd show mine.
    So post any Athena or owl coins you have...love to see them...

    Mysia, Pergamon..133- 127..BC.
    Obv. helmeted head of Athena right..
    Rev. Owl standing facing, wings spread, on palm frond.
    [AQ]H-NA..above, NIKHFOR[OU] below..might be Greek letters in there so don't bust my chops, sellers letters..
    A to left and A to the right.
    16mm x 2.6g.
    Brown patina..

    I was eying that coin for a while - I'm glad it went to a good home. That seller's pics aren't great - post one of your own when you get a chance.

    I'm in the surgery waiting room as I type. She has been a real trooper about this whole thing, but it broke my heart this morning when she broke down crying just as they were taking her into surgery. I won't know much till later. Thanks for asking and offer up an extra prayer for her if you don't mind.

    that's a great coin bing...i'm pretty sure that's one i was thinking about also. the little owl is awesome and i like the dark and bronze color.
