Is this nickel missing the nickel clad?

    Nickels aren't clad so that isn't possible.

    We'll I mean you know how they are made with 25% nickel and 75% copper and I think there is an error where it is missing the nickel and is just copper

    It's just toned, a thin layer of oxidation across its surface.

    Yeah, they are composed of that but they are not clad like a post 64 dime or quarter is.

    It's an alloy or mixture, unlike dimes and quarters. They have a copper core, sandwiched between two copper & nickel alloy layers.

    But search up copper colored Jefferson nickels on google images and it shows up with a picture of what I believe this nickel is

    Nickels can and have been struck on cent planchets. That might be what you are seeing with the google search. However, your nickel is normal.

    It's just toning but it does have a cool look.
