    Yah, although I primarily collect ancient-coins during these last few/several years, I have always collected Canadian banknotes and 25 cent pieces ...

    => Oh my => and the new 2015 coins have arrived ....

    I usually buy the specimen and proof sets for every year, but this year I am saving my coin-cash for ancients (I know, it's very sad)

    ... anyway ...

    => here are today's coin-purchases ...

    Finish: Specimen
    Mintage: 30,000
    Composition: Three-ply nickel finish plated steel

    Finish: Proof
    Mintage: 20,000
    Composition: 99.99% pure silver

    ... I have shaved-off a couple of hundred bucks by merely purchasing the 25 cent pieces rather than the entire sets (hey, don't judge me, my awesome world coin-brothers)

    Pure Silver Proof Set – 150th Anniversary of the Transatlantic Cable (2016) Are there mint marks on the obverse? One obverse has a "P", another obverse has a "m" with a Maple Leaf on top of it.
