Error or PM damage?

    Should I be uploading full images, or thumbnails?

    I load the full images because the thumbnails sometimes don't zoom (as in this case).

    Anyway, the fact the sides "mirror" the strange irregularity is pretty compelling it's post-mint damage of some nature or other.

    PM......and I think you should post the larger photos. Peter allows us the option for this. Years ago, with the old software, you had to re-size your photos or use a photo hosting site in order to upload here. Now, with the new software, you can upload practically any size photo with no problems at all......

    They are definitely out of round. Possibly hammered between two pieces of leather?

    I had no problem enlarging the thumbnails.

    idk, its elongated somewhat, im baffled...Im thinking rickmp has the best idea so far.

    Maybe a railroad attempt? Only caught one side. I did this a lot when I was a kid.

    i did too, but golf balls work better. I once saw one break a 4 inch diameter tree in half.

    it seems like the impression didnt move, even though the one side is thinner. Its weird, but i trust you guys, thats why I am here :)

    The leather buffer is to protect the coin from hammer dings.
