Am I crazy or is this a 2014 Doubled die Lincoln cent

Bryant, I'll bet you feel like Christopher Columbus. If this goes down "in the book," so to speak, I'm going to be so proud to say, "I once knew that guy who discovered this!" Lol.

But, that joking around aside, listen to rickmp. You have enough here to put reasonable people on inquiry. I think you really want this one in the attribution department. They'll put it in their holder, too, where it will be nice, and safe, and cozy.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, too, in my opinion. I mean, you tried so many times, only to get shot down. If you got it, this is what's called, "poetic justice." Good luck.

I liked this post because my name was in it.

Not really, though. Even without my name, it's a great post.

Rick, these newest images are the only ones I see anything on. All the previous pics looked like "light doubling". The newest look like the letters are fatter than normal.

Those pics are better. 055,057,059,and060 look very convincing I'm not an expert, but they look good. There are always tons MD pics posted on here and if this MD it's different than others. JMHO

Fatter than normal could be due to the age of the die. Your first pics showed evidence of doubling, the newer pics don't. Sorry.

What do you think about this? Still the same cent. What about it being an ejection doubling?

I use layers of paper towels and a energy saver bulb. It really knocks out the glare on mint coins.

I agree with the worn die, the hair on top of lincoln head, look like there polishing done to it.. Hairs very weak there ...

But then, I have one like it that I just found last night, and the hair is very strong, and also has die cracks in the hair, I'll take some images and post them here, if you don't mind, or just start another thread, the coin in this thread, could be a later die state, then the one I have...

Looks normal to me. I bet the glare from the coin is reflecting funny. WP_20150218_037.jpg WP_20150218_039.jpg
