You guys nailed it for the most part... it has either a weak strike or its an au58 that got bumped all the way up to ms64... i love the color of this coin, has semi prooflike fields and theres plenty of underlying luster hence the ms grade...

If it's already a 64, why crack it out. No chance of going any higher.

Lack of luster and 'eye appeal' (as per the photos)........Don't get me wrong. I love the coin and own many, but this example is nothing extraordinary.......

Does anyone know why the market is so up and down on these coins? It reminds me of gas prices....

I understand that part.. ALL coins have undergone price adjustments... but some commems have had downswings very recently while every other series has remained strong or had an upswing, I AM ASKING WHY ARE COMMEMS SO VOLATILE?????? Especially compared to other series.... is it a popularity thing or???

    Probably.........

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Just this 65 * PL. It got the star for 3 reasons: attractive toning, cameo contrast, and superb mirrors which just barely miss being DMPL:

Hard to say if it would be a good buy without seeing the coin itself, but it is rather hard to go wrong for $25, especially when melt is 1/4 that.
