Worth sending it out? It is the nicest Peace I own, good strike too, I payed $45 for it at my shop.
Also, any ideas on what it would come back as if I send it?

Seems like a great pick up. 62-63?

I don't think the bag marks, scratches and rim dings would do it any favours.

It's probably worth about what you paid for it. Not worth the price of getting graded IMO.

I'm with Furham........add your purchase price to what you will have to pay to get the coin graded.......think you could make your money back when the time comes to sell? My suggestion is that if you want a '23 Peace Dollar graded, buy one graded.

I guess I'm on the band wagon with those who say keep it as is. You would need to get a MS64 on it to break even, unless the TPG had a show special or promotion. This Peace Dollar has the highest mintage and therefor the most certified pieces of any year. There are a few with die breaks that get a little more money, and with a double die obverse, but yours has neither feature.

Unless you want to piggy back it with someone else, probably not worth the expense.

Looks like a 63/64 to me. Nice luster. I would not submit this on its own, but I would piggy back or save up another 19 coins or so to make the trip.

I like it as a no problem EASY ms64... i cant really judge the luster as that could well bump it up to ms65... so i guess im with these guys especially since this is the most common gem peace dollar on the planet... heres a tip: keep your eyes peeled for a nice 22 or 23 D or S in an old holder that looks to be @ the top of its class for grade and send THAT coin in

The luster on this coin amazing, that is why I like it. I have many other peace dollars and all of them have luster that can't compare. I could not get much of a photo of the luster with my phone, should I take another photo with my Nikon D5200??

It looks like a 64 to me which sell for about $50 so you're $45 in and grading/shipping would run about $50. Best case, it makes 65 so that means you're either -45 or +20. I wouldn't take that gamble.

Nice looking Peace Dollar. I'd say MS64. If it were mine, I'd keep it in an airtite.
