I found my usual assortment of MD, DD, PMD, "maybe coins". Then I found a second CDN Centennial flying Rock Pigeon cent. Then I found THIS!

it was crusted over with green and white but I've been soaking it in mineral oil and it's coming off.

I'm going to guess that mineral oil has an acid base?

I've heard it's safe. Supposedly better than olive oil. It has no organic compounds that can get rancid. I gotta do something

The rock dove is cool but it's no eagle... LOL
I had never heard of the coin but have found one in each of the last 2 boxes of U. S. Cents I've gone through.
