2 – Personal attacks are not permitted. All Coin Talk members, young, old and in between, will treat all other members with respect and be civil at all times. You are expected to act as responsible individuals, there will be no name calling or flame wars.
Oh it's still right there for me, and any other mod to see. But only the mods can still see it. If it were left where everybody could see it, that would defeat the purpose of editing it to begin with. As would my recounting of it here on the forum.
That part about how you, and the other 1% get to still see it....priceless. I couldn't have asked for a better foundation response. I'll make sure to save this juuuuuust in case it violates section 3.B.1c which is hidden to members and used, kind of like Obama's executive orders (fact, not political opinion) and magically disappeared. I didn't do or say anything, either time, in violation of forum policy. You know it. I know it. And the few who observed prior to MCIP (moderator censorship intervention protocol) know it. But, I guess that's how you choose to be known. No hard feelings man, it is what it is. This is just me voicing how it was outlined to be, long before I was a part, and how (unless you claim perfection in your moderation) it is.
Actually, I'm not a moderator, I did read the censored posts before they were edited and I thought BOTH of you needed the timeout chair like you were 5.
Of course you are welcome to become a supporter. Does not mean you can "break rules" though. And I wonder if there is any chance of getting back to the topic. It's about eBay negativity, not negativity per se. Christian
I just don't understand how someone can pop in on a thread, blatantly break a rule, and we see no teachers red pen EDITS all over his writing. This hierarchy is depressing. It is what it is I guess.
Any member can post here; that is not a question of hierarchy. Sure, we mods have a few extra tools, but we do not use them just in order to make anybody else's life miserable. Problem is, sometimes a discussion gets nasty to a point that will not be tolerated. As you know, it was not just your post that got edited, and this was not a question of "whose message was worse" either. Side note: Do all moderators (re)act in exactly the same way? No, we are regular members who are also volunteers, but we aim at being consistent. Sometimes editing "heated" posts, or moving them out of sight, helps getting or keeping the overall temperature down so to say. Sometimes the effect is almost the opposite ... Christian
There is no rational reason to bad mouth eBay if all you do is buy. If you're a seller then there are several legitimate gripes. I am both. Just be sure you know how to tell genuine articles from fakes. My rules for buying include never buying anything from a dealer in China, or any other third world country; in recent years I personally buy only from dealers in the US, UK and Canada since I rarely have difficulty getting my purchase in a timely fashion, besides it's easier to return. I always check feedback before buying; since any dealer can be fooled by one ringer, I look for a pattern of feedback indicating the selling of multiple fakes. Always keep receipts and always have someone whose advice/experience you trust, look at what you buy to make sure you're not getting taken ... eBay will get you a refund on fakes long after the seller's return deadline is past, but you must know who you bought the fake from and when. Good luck.
Never stopped them before. Still some bad sellers out there tweaking pictures and until you get the coin in hand you can't tell how bad it really is. I just wish a few sellers could take decent pictures - I might buy or bid then.

Bummer that a humble person such as myself won't finally be told specifically what part of the quoted rule violation I infracted upon. Just repeated quoting of A rule. But, phenomenal contribution to the forum, as usual, yourself boss.
