Magnus Maximus Dulce et Decorum est....

image.jpg Okay this one was an accident I promise :)
Someone had purchased a coin I was after :( , but then I found this little coin.
It's an AE4 of Magnus Maximus , and it is under $100. I don't think it has BD but I will leave that to you guys and girls to decide .
    Thank you !

Aquileia workshop 2 - The only problem I see is the chipped edge.

And crappy surfaces. I'd hold out and wait for one that looks more like Doug's.

I see no BD just lovely green patina. All-in-all, not a bad coin (depending on price of course). The second coin has the same trype of surface problems, but is off centered as well. If its a choice between the two, as far as looks I'd take the first. I have no idea of scarcity on either coin.

just going off aesthetics, i'd say it's a draw. i also don't see any BD there, so you good either way.

Doesn't look like BD to me. I'm quite fond of these later campgates and would really like to get a Flavius Victor at some point. This Mag Max from Arles was $60 about two years ago and is one of my favorite coins.

That was about the same time I got this one but the seller claimed it was from an old collection. Yours is much nicer but color makes me wonder if they might have been found together.

The colour doesnt look like hoard verdigris......which tends to be bubbly and very green.
